BMW has officially unveiled the new Neue Klasse iX3, a fully electric SUV that marks the beginning of a fresh chapter for the brand. With its modern design, advanced technology, and strong focus on efficiency, the iX3 is expected to play a major role in BMW’s global EV strategy.
Design and Style
The BMW iX3 carries bold and clean design. It features a wide stance, sharp body lines, and the brand’s signature kidney grille in a closed EV-friendly form. The SUV’s spacious cabin highlights BMW’s shift toward sustainable materials, using leather-free Econeer upholstery as standard. A windscreen panoramic display, called the BMW Panoramic iDrive, it brings a futuristic feel from inside.
Features and Technology
The iX3 introduces BMW’s new “Heart of Joy” digital architecture, which combines driving dynamics with intelligent driver assistance systems. The widescreen infotainment and updated Operating System X make navigation and control more intuitive. Comfort is enhanced with optimized seating and generous legroom, making it suitable for both daily use and long trips.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the Neue Klasse platform brings sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology. The SUV runs on an 800-volt system with dual-motor all-wheel drive, combining a rear synchronous motor with a compact front motor. This setup provides strong acceleration and improved efficiency while keeping energy use balanced.
Range and Charging
The new BMW electric SUV on a full charge offers a range of up to 500 miles (WLTP). Fast-charging capability is a highlight, allowing the battery to gain around 370 km of range in just 10 minutes at a high-power charging station.
Price and Availability
The BMW iX3 price will start from around €73,925 in Europe, with deliveries expected in early 2026. For buyers in the BMW EV 2025 lineup, it represents a new generation that blends innovation with practicality, setting the stage for BMW’s future in the electric SUV segment.
